Strong north westerly wind is expected to continue for a few more days. According to latest weather chart updates by the Qatar Meteorology Department, fresh to strong north westerly wind will continue around the country until Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Wind speed is expected to range between 15-25 knots gusting to 30 kt in some areas with high waves offshore ranging between 7-10 ft reaching 14 ft in some areas as marine warnings continue until the beginning of Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
The visibility is expected to drop below 2km in some areas due to blowing dust.
Cold weather conditions will continue at night with temperatures around their average as minimums expected to range between 11 °C to 18 °C and maximums between 19 °C to 24°C across the country. However, the felt temperatures will be less than that due to the wind chill effect.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all to be cautious and to avoid going to sea during this period. (Source)
