On 23 June 2024, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change tweeted that they confiscated four Canis Lupus wolves at Abu Samra port for not obtaining official documents for import, in accordance with Law No. 5 of 2006 regulating trade in endangered species of wildlife and their products.
The Wildlife Development Department stresses the importance of owners of endangered animals obtaining official certificates for these creatures before traveling, whether entering or leaving the country.
