Fitness for a cause?! Get on your running shoes for the Al Dana Green Run! Hosted by Doha Bank, the annual Al Dana Green Run, back for its 13th edition, aims to build the community and spread environmental awareness among people in Qatar. This year’s races at Aspire Zone will be bigger and better as there will be more categories of races. The circuit spans three kilometers around the Khalifa Stadium so men, women and children across Qatar can come and participate in the run!
A popular community event, the Al Dana Green Run attracts a diverse group of people across different age groups. More than 5000 people took part in last year’s run! Doha Bank organizes the Al Dana Green Run as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and is one of its biggest CSR programs.
The Qatar National Vision 2030 is heavily emphasized in this year’s Al Dana Green Run — Doha Bank wants to show that the community stands behind the vision and its goals while staying true to Qatar’s national identity. The popular slogan “Tamim Al Majd” will be added to publications to show unity and support among all members of Qatari society.
A variety of prizes will be given out to the top finishers in each race category for the 2017 Al Dana Green Run. The line up of activities for this year’s run includes competitions, face painting, basketball and football games, games with mascots, and even balloon twisting. The race has been reimagined to be more family-centric. There will be a range of cultural offerings as well, so people can also get a well needed dose of culture!
To register for the Al Dana Green Run, visit www.dohabankmarathon.com. Participants can also visit Doha Bank branches and register for free from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Doha Bank branches include City Center, Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar, Villaggio, Souq Waqif, and Aspire.
The Al Dana Green Run takes place on December 9, 2017 at 12:00 pm in Aspire Zone.
