The Arab Innovation Academy (AIA) program, organized by QSTP and the European Innovation Academy (EIA), is currently taking place in the Middle East for the first time. The 10-day program, which began on December 31, 2017, in Doha, Qatar, is a boot-camp for almost 150 undergraduate and graduate students from universities in Qatar and the Arab world, using hands-on methods to teach them the process of creating a tech startup company. It offers these potential entrepreneurs an opportunity to understand what the entrepreneurship journey involves, and receive valuable insight and guidance from world-class international mentors and investors.
As we conclude this milestone program, we are delighted to invite you to witness the Grand Pitching that will take place at the QSTP South Podium from 1pm to 2.30pm on January 11, 2018, where participating entrepreneurs will live-pitch their startup ideas to investors and experts from around the world. This event will form part of the AIA Closing Ceremony, also including a special edition of the popular QSTP technovate series, from 2.30pm-3.30pm, where some of the international mentors and speakers guiding and inspiring more than 100 students participating in the AIA will take part in a fireside chat with QSTP’s Executive Director Dr. Maher Hakim.
The day will end with the Arab Innovation Academy Closing Gala from 3.30pm onwards. We look forward to seeing you all!
