For every Pakistani food lover, Royal Shezan is etched in their hearts as, back in the 90s, it was the go-to place in Qatar to satiate those desi food cravings.
If anyone was ever looking for a burger at 2 am in Qatar, Dairy Queen was the spot! Located in the heart of Doha, Dairy Queen is home to grilled burgers and the much-loved Blizzard and even the classic Vanilla ice cream cone.
Back then, the idea of a cold, sweet treat was synonymous with TCBY! The cottage-like space had cane chairs along with wooden tables and served dreamy fro-yo flavours.
As the name suggests, Gulf Broasted Chicken was the home of broasted chicken in the 90s when everybody would rush to get their share. It was a simple meal which included bread, a delicious garlic sauce and French fries along with the much-loved chicken!

Caravan Bukhara has been loved in Qatar for decades as a cosy spot to savour a scrumptious biryani or decadent butter chicken; its convenient location makes it more preferred.
Visiting Ponderosa Steakhouse Qatar was every child's dream of the time! The meatballs, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, nuggets and all the good stuff that you can imagine, you can find it there!
Note that they offer a great deal where, with any ala carte main course that you purchase, you get a free buffet for one person.
If you are seeking a Persian food experience in Qatar, the classic Shebestan Palace Restaurant is a must-visit. From the 90s till date, they promise exemplary flavours and extravagant interiors.
Star of India had and still has one of the most sought-after buffets of its time! The buffet served Indian specialities like biryani, kebabs, and koftas and Chinese favourites like manchurian, fried rice, noodles, and so much more! What made this buffet even more enticing was the never-compromised flavour of the classic Sweet Corn Chicken soup or the Gulab Jamun.
If any restaurant lived up to the concept of Indian fine dining, it was Chingari. The restaurant still boasts of being a preferred place to savour Indian flavours.
The iconic golden domes and lavish buffet spread have helped Al Hubara make its mark in the luxury dining scene in Qatar over the years! There's no doubt that from the 90s till date, Al Hubara has been one of the best places to dine.
Al Majles Al Arabi Restaurant has offered unwavering Arabic hospitality over the years and has allowed diners to experience the 'majlis seating'. It's a great restaurant to treat visitors to Qatar or even for a big group meal.
Mazza Restaurant has been a longstanding family favourite restaurant for Indian flavours! The restaurant has also been reigning as a popular choice for catering services for large events & gatherings
