It's time to talk about some of the DO's and DON'Ts during Ramadan! We even threw in some bonus tips.  Let's all have a peaceful and relaxing month.

DO:

✓ Dress Modestly. We want to keep bad thoughts out of our minds right? Dressing modestly is also respectful.

✓ Socialize. It's a time to get together with family and friends. Going out with them shows that you care, and it's a great excuse to catch up!

We all do this! We get so hungry that we start map out how we're going to stuff our faces as soon as it's time for Iftar. Remember though to pace yourself and to reflect on the main reason why you fasted in the first place :)

Now time to get some of that delicious nectar; vimto.

In this first of our special Ramadan QTips, we share some of the reasons why it's important to fast.

We mention appreciation for what God has give us and the importance of staying pure! It's all about Purity of Mind, Body, and Heart.

Of course, one of the main things to know is that you also have to have the right intentions (Niya).

In this episode, we share a little bit about who we prioritize. Things can get confusing when there are people you are greeting or when you're trying to figure out who to go first.

19,819

It's time to talk Wasta. What's it all about and what does it mean?

Wasta means connection. Many people use their relationships and connections to get an advantage in a situation. Sometimes it could be as simple as using a Wasta to get an opportunity, or sometimes it could be to get a premium location for a shop you want to open.

#QTip: Offering the last piece

Check back EVERY SUNDAY! In this episode of #QTips, it's about offering the last piece.

In our culture, you should always offer the last piece to someone. After all, it's the best piece!

Of course when being offered, it's customary to reject. (Don't forget the rule of three! No thanks, no thanks, ok thank you).

Special thanks to Al Rayyan Hotel (located near Mall of Qatar) for hosting us! They've got this great modern Qatari style decor, and some really cool restaurants too. So check them out!  Al Rayyan Hotel.

You probably noticed that there are these tents that pop up around the country. Some of them are privately set up, some are put up by the country (usually with a public sign), and some are corporate (and for the public).

#QTips: Arabic names, Tribes, and how they work

#QTips: Arabic names, Tribes, and how they work

What's in a name? That which we call a Hamad by any other name would smell as sweet. I think that's the quote... We thought you'd like to know a bit about Arabic names. Typically your full name would be 5 long. Your name, your fathers name, your grand fathers name, your great grand fathers name and then the family or tribe name. Typically you'd want to remember someone three names long. So your name, father's name, family / tribe name.
