MBG & guest star check out Qatar inspired restaurant: Al Majles Diyafa

Food brings people together!

In this week’s episode of Mama Baba Ganoush, I meet up with Khansa Abdul Jaleel, superblogger and founder of popular food and travel website, www.creativitywithkay.com.

Khansa writes about her travels to far flung places such as the Maldives and Macedonia with lots of droolworthy pics of exotic local and international eats, from five-star brunches to decadent desserts.

Recently, we met at the stunning Al-Majles Diyafa restaurant at The Pearl-Qatar where we sampled lots of Arabian and Qatari delights, freshly made to order and served hot from the grill! Al-Majles Diyafa is perfect for getting a true taste of local culture and heritage with it’s gorgeously chic interiors and locally inspired artwork adorning the walls. The handmade mshereib is a real showstopper and was made by artisans of Qatar’s Royal Family.

The delicious menu is a blend of local and Arabian delights sourced from the finest produce and ingredients. Be sure to check out the afternoon or night fwala – this is a double deck trolley filled with stunning homemade pastries and bites from rich and velvety mousses to fruity tarts and pillowy breads and mini savoury bites. As an added bonus, there’s parking next door and a kids' playroom too!

A perfect spot for meeting up with friends or family to experience of true taste of Qatar! Yalla! Add it to your ‘must do’ list!
