Science meets creativity at the Solar Art Festival! This festival offers guided tours every day at the Doha Fire Station - Artists in Residence, where organizers have brought together a collection of exceptional solar art commissions, created by globally renowned solar artists and Qatar-based students alike.
The Solar Art Festival also separately exhibits artworks that were developed by school and university-level students around Qatar, as part of QSTec’s award-winning Shams Generation initiative, an interdisciplinary approach to education combining science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.

Girls just wanna have fun! The Losail International Circuit will be hosting Ladies Training Days twice a month!
The Losail track will be open only for ladies to be able to exercise in one of the largest venues in Doha with privacy, as well as enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, such as cycling, walking, running or rollerblading.
Bicycles and gear will be available so ladies won’t have to bring their personal cycles from home. There will be special trainers available to provide yoga lessons, a mini-bootcamp; walking, jogging and other activities. There will also be an allocated area for children. A small rental fee for bicycles will be charged: QR 35 for 1st hour, QR 40 for 2nd hour.
You will be asked to complete a registration form and sign a waiver.
Distance: The Track is 5.31km long. You can do as many laps as you like during the scheduled time.
Security: There will be an abaya and bag check-in station. No men will be allowed inside the track area. CCTV will only be monitored by female staff.
*Please note only boys under 9 years of age will be allowed inside the track.*

Rules:
Cyclists must use the track in an anti-clockwise direction, cycling on the inside of the track, overtaking to the left.
Runners and walkers can use the track in a clockwise direction on the outer track, between the blue line and fence. Crossing of the track is not permitted without the safety marshal's permission.
All cyclists (including small children) must wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes when using the track. A small rental fee will be charged for bicycles: QR 35 for 1st hour, QR 40 for 2nd hour.

The first dragon boat competition of the season is taking place at the Grand Hyatt Doha on November 24th!
Come and enjoy some high energy dragon boat racing at The Saracen Winter Dragon Boat Festival 2017. The competition is open to spectators. There will be music and food for people as they cheer on their favorite team!

How much do you love cycling? The Ride of Champions is Qatar’s largest mass participation event, and the official flagship community event of Qatar Cyclist and Qatar Cycling Federation. The aim is to include the entire cycling community of the country, by offering various route distances for young and old, families as well as novice to experienced cyclists.
Festival of Cycling ‘For Families, Beginners and Little Cyclists' is aimed at the riders that wants to participate as a family, young riders or riders new to the sport of cycling. This route will be a 5.8 km loop, safe and secure, in the beautiful environment around Qatar Foundation and Al Shaqab Arabian horse breeding area.
There will also be events for under 8-year-old kids at Qatar Foundation’s Oxygen Park. Kids will be able to ride and compete against each other in short races around Oxygen Park under the supervision of their parents or guardians.
