Turkish Airlines and Win Travel to promote the virgin market, Varna destination and flight increase at Bulgaria roadshow in Qatar

Turkish Airlines, Europe’s Best Airline*, organised a road show for travel agents in Qatar in cooperation with Win Travel (DMC), the leading provider of full handling destination management services in Bulgaria.

 

At the event, Turkish Airlines unveiled its new offering of flights to Varna in response to Bulgaria’s growing appeal as a holiday destination for tourists from Qatar.

 

The event, held at the Sharq Village and Spa, Al Qareb 2 in Doha, was attended by H.E. Metin Kozak, Ambassador of Bulgaria in Doha, Mehmed Kursad Caymaz, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Qatar, and travel agents in the country.

 

Mehmed Kursad Caymaz said:Varna is one of the new and popular European destinations for tourists from Qatar, where they can explore the diverse natural landscapes, cultural attractions, beaches, gastronomy and bustling energy of the city.”

 

He added:“Our flights to Varna are catering for the growing demand for connections to Eastern Europe for visitors from Qatar. We are working with Win Travel and the tourism authorities to showcase the attractive offering of destinations such as Varna in Bulgaria. This is part of our ongoing growth strategy in the region to work closely with our travel agents, who have been integral to the growth in passenger traffic we report from Qatar.”

 

At the roadshow, travel agents had the chance to participate in a Turkish Airlines raffle draw for a chance to win two return tickets for couples and four-night hotel stay at Varna.

 

Varna is the largest city on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast and is the main port for both naval and commercial shipping. It is a close to the popular coastal resorts of Golden Sands, St. Constantine & Helena, and Albena, which feature a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Varna also hosts numerous prestigious cultural events. Recently the city was awarded the title of European Youth Capital 2017, by the European Youth Forum.
