After the world witnessed the current atrocities happening in eastern Aleppo, many people are taking action and trying to help in whatever way they can.

In addition to Qatar’s recent announcement from the Emiri Diwan declaring solidarity with Aleppo and scaling down Qatar National Day celebrations, Qatar also has different campaigns and causes that aim to directly help Syrians.

Restaurant profits donated to Aleppo

One of these initiatives comes from Katara Cultural Village and Aspire Zone. These entities will donate the profits of their restaurants to Aleppo Aid, from December 15-17.

They accept donations at kiosks in different locations around Doha, through their website (you can donate care packages, food, supplies, etc.), SMS (amounts range from QR25 - QR1,000), self-service machines, the QC mobile app, Nojoom points with Ooredoo, and they can even collect funds directly from your home.

Other organizations

There are also a number of online organizations you can support from Doha, such as the White Helmets (a homegrown search-and-rescue force, which operates in rebel-controlled Syria), Doctors Without Borders (a medical relief organization that provides supplies and aid), the Syrian American Medical Society (a Syrian-based medical group offering aid), and Save the Children (an organization that supports the Syrian Children's Relief Fund).

These are just some organizations you can donate to, there are multiple other ways you can help out the people of Syria, such as spreading awareness and doing research on how you can directly provide aid.
