Qatar’s Finance Minister Ali Sherif al-Emadi was in Moscow this week to participate in the ‘Russia Calling!’ investment forum. On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where he conveyed greetings from His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to President Putin and the desire for more progress on bilateral relations across all sectors between the two nations.
In turn, President Putin expressed reciprocal wishes of greetings to His Highness the Emir, and his keenness on developing and strengthening relations between Qatar and Russia – including cooperation in the economic and investment fields. Al-Emadi assured the Russian President of the interest and keenness of Qatar on expanding opportunities for such collaboration and joint investment between the two nations.
