'Life Be Part of It’. The region's first international sports, fitness and well-being event, under the patronage of the Qatar Olympic Committee, will be the biggest of its type in the Middle East when the four-day festival gets under way at Doha Exhibition Centre from October 15 to 18.

More than 70 percent of the 10,000 square metre exhibition space has been booked by companies eager to get their products recognised in the US$100m GCC sports, fitness and wellness market.

"Exhibitors from as far as United Kingdom, Japan, Italy and Singapore have already confirmed for the event, underlining the exhibition's global appeal," said Waleed Wahba, LIFE Project Manager.

Open to both industry and the general public, LIFE Be Part of It!, sponsored by Qatar's National Health Authority, will be the perfect opportunity to discover the latest sports, fitness, health, wellbeing, physical nutrition, health information, lifestyle products and services through an interactive format which include informative sessions, displays and interactive workshops.

Qatar Olympic Committee will be presenting the first LIFE Be Part of It! Awards at a glittering gala dinner on October 16. Awards such as 'Best Athlete of the Year', 'Best Sportswoman of the Year' and 'Most Active Sports Association of the Year' will be presented by Qatar Olympic Committee.

Among the new innovations for 2008, LIFE Be Part of It! and the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation will be staging Qatar's largest ever billiards competition during the exhibition. In total, 65 of Qatar's finest billiards players will be invited to compete.
