bought the ticket already...

my kids have been looking forward to an event like this here in doha....finally we get it here and the ticket prices are rediculusly expensive....QR350-QR700!!!!! and only on for one day....surly logic says make the tickets a lower price and stage the event over 3-4 days and many more people will attend.....i have 4 daughters and as much as they would love to see the show i will not pay such high prices.....i didnt pay that for a ticket to see lional richie live at the ritz a few years ago. sorry too too expensive...

I heard also you will get one ticket free if you buy 4 tickets... still expensive ?
but this will be the same price if you see the musical in Broadway or London, remember they are coming maybe from London...

I have attended many live music and theatre shows in the uk (and in Doha) before and never paid these prices for CHILDRENS entertainment!!!!! also you say the show is coming from the usa, its coming via Dubai and there is no original film or show-stars in it? my sister took her kids to see it in the uk last year when it was touring there and paid a third of the price for tickets ....i am more than happy to support these events in Doha as i feel if we support and attend them more and more acts and shows will come too Doha, but not at these prices....for me to take my girls to the "reasonable" priced seats thats QR2000....who would pay 450 uk pounds to take there kids to see a west-end show????...in Doha???? not me ...

You are right, it is indeed very expensive.

According to the flyer attached, it's by Feld Entertainment, [www.feldentertainment.com] which is from the USA.

The flyer also says, "Ask for family tickets" if that helps. They need to definately make prices more reasonable to encourage people to attend.

I actually want to go and see this for a laugh.

To be honest with you, as a promoter of events, Artists, brands, shows, concepts etc.. All have this idea that everyone in Qatar is loaded and that everyone can afford it.

We pay 4 times the amount for an artist as say America or UK for example. Somebody that goes for 15,000 Euro is asking for 100,000 Euro in Qatar.. This is passed on via high ticket prices. Its ridiculous, however, there is no getting over it at the moment until they realise that the average concert goer does not have 600QR for a ticket, the bubble is bursting as we speak... Its really sad to be honest.

Don't blame the organizers, blame the company that's probably selling to the promoter for over 1 million QR, i know how much these things cost.

With these ticket prices, i can imagine that the organizers are actually operating at a loss or breaking even and its government funded, that's just a calculated guess though...

Everything is expensive here, from venues, sound, light, printing materials, advertising... All of this is reflected in the ticket cost of any event here.

its true, prices are ridiculous, i wanted to take the kids to the Barney concert and 500 riyals is ridiculous.
