Dear all, As I start a new job in August just want to ask for advise about the visa conditions for my fiancee. I will get the normal working visa under support of my company, but i heard that the "family visa" only is possible for marriaged guys and their children... . However we are going to get marriage end of this year. Please let me know how to do.... thx

I know that if you are engaged, it is considered to be married. Are you engaged? Or just promised to engage? if you could get a certificate (you could probably create it yourself and get someone to stamp it) you should be fine. Otherwise, let her come under a tourist visa.

If she is not going to work, then it is fine unless it's cancelled and she's added to the band list.

I think the best advice is to actually get married first because in the government's eyes, she's still single and thus has no family in Qatar.

Hi All, I am moving to Qatar with my fiancee and understand the laws of marriage in the country regarding the visa. Is it possible to arrange and get married in Doha they city when we arrive?

I believe so. But she would have to arrive on a tourist visa first and it would end up being a Shariah marriage I believe.
