I would like to do the desert trip through one of the main tour operators here but would need more people in order to join the trip. Any interest out there?

you usually stay in an air conditioned cruiser, go dune bashing, take in the sites and then at night a tent is pitched, before then you might go for a swim at the beach

I would recommend you Al Mazaya Tourism. Call Marwan on 550 5837, he is the second person after the owner who run the company. Tell him that Novi recommended him ... Marwan is a long term family friend of ours.

For us we normally tagging along with another groups. One of the groups are Qatar Airways pilots convoys, and the other one is from German community. My husband is not pilot and neither of us are German.

What you need : a good 4X4, tent, some wood for bonfire, cooler box, food and drink, tow rope ...
