Japanese Society Qatar

According to the Japanese embassy website, as of March 2008, there are 950 Japanese people in Qatar! Update: As of August 2010, there are 2,000 Japanese people.

Konnichiwa everyone!

(You can write in Japanese in this forum :) or even join our Mixi group!)

^_^

Hopefully some of the Japanese members will find their way here and contribute to the forum!

I work with a Japanese company here. 98% of them are spending their time between office and home since it is their culture to work very late. There is only 1 Japanese lady here, overseeing the welfare of the Japanese men. The Japanese guys are just too rigid and don't talk much when in the office. It's all about business only.

My Japanese colleagues are only rigid in the office but when they are out, they will be acting crazy. I will inform them bout this social nights (they are complaining of how boring this country is!). Any detail of when and where?

there aren't any specific days. It's all random but always posted in either the social or events section.

Two of the popular ones are called Souq Seekers and Pearl Divers.

Hi, All

I have just returned from Doha and now in Tokyo. Although Amnesia said there are 950 Japanese in there, I did not see none of them.
I guess they are hiding somewhere or back in homeland Japan during New Years eve....

Doha is wonderful place to live and i cant wait to go back there again.

P.S. if you guys want to eat reasonable & fresh Sushi, the fish section in Carrefour is the place to go!:)
