I would like to form a Photographic Group, and get it active as soon as possible. With regular meetings and workshops. Let me know here if you are interested in helping me get the show on the road.

Regular meetings for training and competitions. An active group, for people at any level to exchange tips and tricks over a cup of coffee. In fact there ya go... the first meeting will be a competition to see who can take the best photo of their cup of coffee. The winner will have to explain to everyone else how they did it.

Indeed it does.... hello and welcome qatarfriends. We are still just getting organised here in this fledgling photography group. Indeed you are now member #2. Are you going to be around for a while, or are you only visiting Qatar?

qatarfriends -

Let us know which seminar you would like to lead :)

I'm wholly unqualified, though I could probably lead a seminar on non-photogenic children. You could even borrow mine for the weekend.

For a price, you can even have them for longer. I'll pay you :D

I'm as green as it gets, but I'd love to dust off my digital SLR and learn how to use the fool thing!

I suppose I'm #3!

At this rate we may well have our first get together within weeks :D

I am looking forward to your seminar on controlling unwilling child models ExpatMum. Bring them along for a shoot, and we will see who can capture the ultimate pout or frown.

I have a Sony a350, which has given me some superb results for the last 2 years. I expect it will be my friend for at least another two years before I decide to look for something else, because it does everything I want a camera to do.

Here is one I took while up in Scotland just over a year ago. I had to get up early in the freezing cold to get it, but it was well worth it :D
