Not only is it delicious in all its different forms, the sushi-eating experience is also always a unique one. However, with sushi it’s either going to be a hit or a miss — so here are some spots for you to try, whether you love it or hate it is up to your tastebuds!

Katsuya by Starck is a new Japanese-American restaurant that has opened in Villaggio Mall. In addition to its mouthwatering sushi menu, it also has a number of other delicious options such as wagyu beef, noodles, teriyaki, hibachi, robata, and more! You can find both sashimi and sushi rolls at Katsuya. Their signatures and favorites include The Hollywood, Double Double, and the Spicy Tuna Roll! Katsuya is a definite must-try!

This is another new sushi restaurant that has opened in Doha. It’s located at Doha Festival City and serves up a wide variety of Asian dishes, such as noodles and rice, curries, poke bowls and more! Their sushi and sashimi choices are extensive with veggie options, nigiri, temakizushi, and classic rolls too. You can also order bento boxes and platters.

The Mondrian Doha

Located at the Mondrian Doha, Morimoto is a new high-end Japanese restaurant that provides a unique fine dining experience. There’s a designated 16-seater sushi bar where you can watch the chefs prepare sushi live. A sophisticated ambiance paired with the beautiful and artistic presentation of dishes makes for a one-of-a-kind gastronomic experience. In addition to sushi, Morimoto also offers tantalizing entrees such as sea bass, lobster, surf and turf, and so much more! Although Morimoto is on the pricier side, it definitely warrants a visit!

Sushi at the W Doha Hotel is superb! Both the Market by Jean Georges and the Spice Market are frequented by Doha residents. The top sushi rolls at the Market by Jean-Georges are the soft-shell crab, shrimp tempura, and the spicy salmon roll. Although the sushi is the most popular item, there are also a number of other items you can order!

Yee Hwa is another super popular restaurant, to the point where you have to wait an hour sometimes to get a table! You can find an array of traditional Japanese and Korean dishes! You can even order Korean barbecue and grill your food right at your table! Yee Hwa serves maki rolls, nigiri, temaki, and sashimi and also has all-you-can-eat sushi nights! Definitely check it out if you haven’t already!
