Nobu is arguably the most recognizable chain of Japanese restaurants in the world and, at over 2,400 Sq m, Nobu Doha is the largest in the brand’s portfolio. The three-storeyed building is a Doha landmark jutting out from the pier at the Four Seasons Doha, and gives panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. The weekly Monday ladies’ night is also immensely popular amongst foodies and the large variety of options off their Japanese fusion menu will ensure that no guests are left wanting.

Yee Hwa

Rated: 4.4/5

You can find Yee Hwa on the ground floor of the Doha Downtown Hotel Apartments building on Al Kinana Street. Serving up a flavourful mix of Korean and Japanese dishes on the menu, they have two popular weekly events. The first is the Sushi Buffet on Sundays from 6:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m., and the second is a Korean BBQ evening on Mondays and Wednesdays. Guests cook the meat themselves on the tabletop barbecues which makes for a fun and unique dining experience. The restaurant is quite small and does get crowded, so make sure to book in advance.

Hakkasan

Hakkasan is renowned for its Cantonese cuisine, in particular the steamed dumplings and artful plethora of dim sum options. The crackling Peking duck also come highly recommended by Zomato foodies. The restaurant can be found in The St. Regis Hotel and is a great experience for special occasions, or when you want to spoil yourself. They also have some mouth-watering options that cater to vegetarians – and the steamed vegetarian dim sum platter is a must.
