United Qatar cleans up!
It has been a long and trying time for Team United Qatar and an even longer one for its coach, Ismaeel.
It started almost 2 years ago with coach arriving in Doha and ending up living in Ruwais driving well over 45 min one way down a street lovingly named death road (before it became the nice smooth 4 lanes it is now) to teach a bunch of odd personalities BJJ.

Oscar is relatively new to our gym but the guy has been completely dedicated from day one. He never misses class unless his schedule doesn’t allow him to make it. He comes in, gets in his reps and rolls like a monster.

Oscar shows his gold
Oscar without doubt has one serious heart. I said to him before he left Doha on his way to the no gi invitational: ” Inshaallah you are going to do well bro, you are here rolling with a gym full purple belts and a black belt and you got some serious heart.”
You see these people around you who inshaallah appear to be destined for great things and you can only say… one day that guy is going to be in the dictionary under awesome..
Well Mohammed El Hafy is on the road and is taking names on the way.

Halfy on the podium
Let me say that this young man just put on purple not even a full 2 months now! Under great coaching and determination this guy brought home something to be proud of and put us back on the map after we as a team managed to miss match after match!
Watch out for this kid! Well done Mohammed!

Showing what it's hitting for!
Much props and respect to Mohammed El Hafy for going to Dubai and competing at Contender MMA Center’s no gi competition recently.
Mohammed came back with a bronze medal and some great experience and progression in his competition game.
Well done bro!
As you should know by now, the one thing for sure in Doha is nothing is for sure. We have had to change locations so many times now I forget where we were just a year ago.
We are now training in a private compound with limited space so we are having a difficult time accepting large amounts of students at the moment.
If you are interested in training with us then please post a message and I will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
You should be serious about training and being consistent. We don’t want to scare our hosts by way of having loads of strangers coming in and out of their compound at will. The constant rotation of strangers to the compound residents can naturally be alarming to say the least.
See you on the mat!
Leave the ego at home!
Please take the time to congratulate Doha’s latest purple belts.
Craig Little
Mohammed El Halfy
Imran Abu Musa
These two have worked long and hard and should be congratulated for the payoff by way of promotion.
Way to go guys!
Grapplers Quest champion Tyrone Gooden will be in town until the 20th of this month teaching regular classes but in “seminar” format. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from and train with one of the best there is. Tyrone Gooden is a BJJ Machado blackbelt with an extensive stand up martial arts background.
